The Shelter
Don't let pesky insects spoil your night. No-See-Um netting keeps out tiny critters, while the tub-floor prevents moisture from below. This net tent for two is designed to pair with our 2P Cirriform Tarp, but it also works with larger a-frame style tarps. Multiple doors allow easy entry from both sides, and the front.
- Multiple entry points from the front or either side.
- ~8" tub-floor.
- Two interior stash pockets
- One interior hang loop.
Fabric We've switched the flooring to a 20D Ripstop Polyester with a Sil/PU coating. The PU coating on the inner face significantly improves puncture resistance and reduces slipperiness over the previous 20D and 40D Silpoly offerings.
Rigging to connect the Bug Shelter to your tarp comes pre-installed. If you want to pitch the shelter without a tarp, you'll need additional guyline for the apexes and six stakes (additional guyline and stakes are not included).
We recommend seam sealing (instructions) the following seams from the inside prior to use: vertical seams at each tub corner (4), seams along the base of the tub's side walls (2). We have tested Gear Aid's Seam Grip +Sil to work with this Sil/PU fabric (not included).
Made in the USA from imported fabric.

To pitch the Bug Shelter without a tarp, you will need the following items:
- Front Pole: At least ~46" (~117cm)
-
Rear Pole: At least ~27" (~69cm)
(taller poles are ok) - Front Guyline: ~84" (~210cm)
- Rear Guyline: ~72" (~180cm)

Rigging/Pitching
Included rigging
Your net-tent comes with the following rigging installed. Though configured for pairing with the 2P Cirriform, the rigging will allow for pairing with many other a-frame tarps as well.
- Tops corners of tub: 24" of 3/32" shock cord & squeeze hook at each upper tub corner
- Apexes: 15" (front) & 24" (rear) 3/32" shock cord with mini barrel cordlocks & mitten hooks
Pitching under a tarp (Option 1)
This is the recommended approach for pitching under the 2P Cirriform.
- Pitch the tarp.
- Clip the Bug Shelter's apexes to points above on the tarp.
- Connect the cords at the Bug Shelter's corners to the tarp's corners.
- Adjust the cords at the apexes to raise the Bug Shelter to the desired height.
- Adjust the cords at the tub's corners to pull out the tub.
- If desired, stake the bottom corners of the tub. Otherwise, let the tub hang.
Pitching under a tarp (Option 2)
This is the recommended approach for pitching under larger a-frame tarps.
- Pitch the tarp.
- Clip the Bug Shelter's apexes to points above on the tarp.
- Adjust the cords at the apexes to raise the Bug Shelter to the desired height.
- At each tub corner, clip the squeeze hook to the tie-out at the floors bottom corner. Cord should be adjusted to its maximum length.
- At each tub corner, stake the cord that now connects the upper and lower corners so the cord forms a triangle with the upper and lower tub corners.
Pitching without a tarp
For times when you only need bug protection and no tarp.
- At each tub corner, clip the squeeze hook to the tie-out at the floors bottom corner. Cord should be adjusted to its maximum length.
- At each tub corner, stake the cord that now connects the upper and lower corners so the cord forms a triangle with the upper and lower tub corners.
- Connect a guyline to the cords at each apex.
- Stake out the apex guylines, using a pole near each end to provide height.
- Adjust the guyline length as needed using the cordlocks installed at each apex.
